The Science of Going Fast

Science of Speed This site is dedicated to the pursuit of designing and building CO2-powered racecars and making them go fast. This is done by employing an understanding of physical forces at work.

CO2 racing is enormously fun and motivates students to learn. During the last 30 years, tens of thousands of students have shared in the experience.

Now, a dynamic new curriculum, The Science of Speed, elevates the success of this activity through a well-planned, standards-based process designed to maximize learning and apply knowledge.
